Every Dog Matters
At CCAS we believe that every animal that comes to call our agency home, matters. We track all intakes and outcomes according to the nationally recognized standards. We know you care about the dogs that come here just as much as we do.
2024 Live Release Rate 84.55%
2024 was one of the most challenging years we have faced in almost a decade as a shelter. We adopted over 900 dogs to new homes, reunited 184 dogs with their owners, and transferred 22 dogs to partner agencies for placement. It is our goal to never euthanize for space and to not place time limits on how long a dog can live with us. When our facility is at capacity, we work hard engage our community to help move out healthy, friendly, adoptable animals. We will continue to need the support of adopters and fosters to help save shelter dogs. If you are interested in joining that effort see how you can get involved.
Our live release rate is calculated according to the ASPCA's calculation.
